I would love to see this same concept applied to TR. I loved this idea as it gave you the potential to still use your block skill if you were role playing a character that doesn't use a shield or wanted to simulate the dual wielding character. I was playing Oblivion with the immersive weapons mod and loved how that mod added off-handed swords and daggers. You couldn't attack with them and they just functioned as a shield, albeit with less protection than a normal shield. I have a suggestion for you guys: Swords that you can equip in the shield slot that function as shields. First let me say I am humbled by all the hard work you all have put into this mod and I am greatly appreciative of all the content you have released!
